A rather notable departure from the German capital club is about to take place. Sport Bild and Sky Germany are currently reporting that 24-year-old former Germany youth international Jordan Torunarigha will be sold to the club where he spent the second half of last season on loan. The sale had been ongoing for some time and, according to reports, was set to net Hertha €4.5m in transfer fees.
The Chemnitz native came through the youth of Hertha who represented his country at all youth levels, most recently donning the jersey of the German national team at the delayed 2021 Summer Olympics. His recent loan spell saw him make 15 appearances in all competitions for the Belgium side. Torunarigha leaves German football after scoring six goals and five assists in 78 total appearances for Hertha since 2016.
